I really resonated with your posts, Emily. I think when we're passionate about what we do, we can just get sucked up into this weird 'success' funnel. Creating the mission statement really helped me get clear about what it is I really want. The challenge is now to live it and figuring out what that actually means in real life. Keep on writing your brilliantly inspirational and honest posts. x
I love this, Suzy, I can feel joy and warmth and possibilities seeping through your words. I’m going to find Hello, Bookstore on a streaming platform because it looks wonderful.
Absolutely love this Suzy, and I can feel the happiness and passion coming from your new connections and experiences. I can totally resonate, as I keep adding new experiences too this year and they gives me the warmest feeling. These days I love to connect more with the creatives and so called 'weirdos', people like me. Last night I went to the launch of the most bonkers project I got involved with last year, and listened to how it all came about, from the CEO of the creative agency and was blown away by her passion and ethos. These things are so inspiring and I know your next festival will be too, I aim to be there!
Oh Suzy I love this so much - the film, the Accidental Bookshop, your perspective. Just brilliant. I reflected on something very similar a couple of weeks ago in my piece 'what defines success', and your 'mission statement' is beautiful. I have been on a very similar journey - different circumstances, but such similar discoveries. The Alnwick Storyfest sounds magical. I'd love to visit. Much love x
Thank you, Emma. I suspect so many of us are on this journey. We can so much time chasing after 'success' without asking - does it really fulfil us and what's it all for? But yes, I think connecting with others, building communities, creativity - these are my 'values' and when I live them, it makes me happy.
The film is joyous! Let me know what you think.
Thank you so much for the mention, Suzy! You and I have very similar mission statements. :)

Oh it sounds like a cosy hug of a film - on top of my list for my next hygee night alone.
