I love this idea Suzy. Something as simple as a smile can save us. I feel I’ve had many songs, mentors, interactions with strangers, comments from strangers online, books, and medicine journeys, that have saved me. Having deep, authentic, lifelong friendships has been such a gift to my soul too. The books I read came at the perfect time to shift my perspective in life which I still refer back to. I wrote about them here (I wonder if you’ve read any of them?): https://open.substack.com/pub/soulwisdom/p/3-books-that-found-me?r=a9uns&utm_medium=ios

I read the alchemist but I totally didn’t get it😆 I loved his book “Veronica decides to die”, I understood that one and could relate to how she felt (years behind me now I’m pleased to say).

I remember watching a mum stroking her dress down, whilst waiting for her shopping. I was thinking how nice she looked, when I got out I told her so. She told me her mum had bought her the dress but sometime ago and it was the first time she'd worn it, as she wasn't sure it suited her. I think she really needed to hear that from me that day.

I'm drawn to the picture of this gorgeous pup because a four-legged friend saved me. Dogs are unconditional love in a fur coat and I'm so grateful for them!

What would we do without our dogs? xx
