This is something that comes up in my therapy room over and over again...✨🤩 how powerful inserting a breath, a moment, a micro-joy into life can be! Stopping to watch a bird in the garden, awarding yourself a ten-minute read of your book in a quiet nook, choosing a favourite cake and looking forward to rewarding yourself by mindfully enjoying it with a cup of hot tea - and nothing else!

Developing the art of taking micro-moments can become one of the most powerful rituals in our virtual mental-health tool-box 🌞

Micro moments of joy - I love that.

This is brilliant. Never mind 'seize the day' - just put it down for a minute and savour what you have.

It's kind of a bit of both. I can't do any seizing until I've done some savouring x

Love this. And all those collective moments are what makes our life…. x

Yes, I feel that for so long I have been focussed on getting 'there' when I was missing what was happening here.

Oh Suzy you know I love this because it combines two things so important to me – pausing (my 7-yr-old (yikes!) podcast is called Pressing Pause) and 10mins wellbeing actions (my 1% Wellness Experiment book)! These few minutes can be so impactful and yet too often the belief that such a short amount of time just can't make a difference gets in the way of trying and finding out. Mind you, you're braver than me, I'm not a fan of water anyway and plunging into the freezing cold takes way more courage than I have! x

Wonderful! Love that you've tracked down the swimming place at Howick. I love that bay so much.

Every day at the moment, I head outside with a bowl to pick raspberries. We're getting around a kilo a day. Usually, I hurry back in and get on with the next task. Today, however, I am going to pause, pop one in my mouth and taste the raspberry!

Thank you for the prompt, Suzy.

Fresh raspberries, now that's what I call a micro-pause!
