7 questions to help you start again half way through the year.
Had a challenging year so far? Today is a great time to begin again
I am always looking for time to give myself a chance to pause and reflect and do some self coaching. It’s a check-in to make sure I’m going in the right direction and to see if I need to course correct.
It can be a short check-in every morning, every week on a Monday morning or it can be today…..Summer solstice.
Today is the longest day of the year, when day and night will be at almost equal length as the sun crosses the celestial equator and moves southward into the northern hemisphere.
As the sun rises, here are 7 questions to reflect on:
What was your happiest moment of the year so far and why did it make you happy?
What is the best habit you’ve created this year which gives you energy?
Who is the one person you are most grateful to this year and why?
What one small thing can you do differently that will take you in the direction you want to go in the next 6 months?
What’s the one thing/person or pet that’s brought you the most joy every day and how can you spend more time with them in the next 6 months?
What’s one adventure you’ve had in 2023 which has made you feel differently about yourself or life?
When did your heart leap the most in the last six months? Why?
Love this invite Suzy. My heart leap moment and happiest moment were the same. We were on holiday abroad as a family for the first time and I'd taken a solo walk - I could feel all the versions of myself that travelled alone and I felt called and safe and excited and full of wonder. I wasn't a mum or a wife or working for anyone but I held all of that in love. In that moment I was just me... one foot infront of the other, glistening seas and a huge bottle of mineral water soaking up this vibrant life for the first time in a very very long time. xx
These are such great prompts, Suzy, thank you.
When I saw these posts about summer solstice I actually started to freak out a bit! I was like 'oh no, it's down hill from tomorrow'. But just spending a few minutes reflecting on these questions instantly helped me to reframe. <3
