"Writing is the crack through which you can crawl into a bigger world, into your wild mind.”
It's a wrap.
“Let yourself live in something that is already rightfully yours—your own wild mind. LIFE IS NOT ORDERLY. No matter how we try to make life so, right in the middle of it we die, lose a leg, fall in love, drop a jar of applesauce. Writing is the crack through which you can crawl into a bigger world, into your wild mind.” Natalie Goldberg.
I’m working very hard on encouraging myself right now.
I’m crawling into a bigger world. I’m crawling into my wild mind every day by journalling and writing.
I’m building a new life from scratch in Northumberland - it’s definitely not easy at times. I feel like I’m working very hard to build some sustainable new foundations - new freelance work - pitching every day to the papers, building my Substack with journalling challenges like this, writing my book in the Heart Leap writing hour (every Tuesday and Thursday at 9am), I am trying to buy a tiny house that has a little garden for my dog Bertie.
But I’m making progress.
I’ve had 32.5 views in the last 30 days on my Substack (that’s up 16k in the last month!)
That’s exciting. 1300 subscribers in 15 months.
I am 3 off reaching a 100 paid subscribers.
To celebrate, I’d like to offer anyone who would like to become a paid subscriber 50 PER CENT off in the next 24 hours.

My paid membership comes with:
Two writing hours a week where at 9am on Tuesday and Thursday, you get to write with a friendly, kind, bunch of writers and get your book finished.
One masterclass a month with a writer, writing expert or self development expert on writing and creating a life that you love. (This month, we hosted Joanna Penn - an award-winning writer who has written 50 books and sold over a million books to readers in 176 countries and 5 languages, as an independent (indie) author.)
One freelance journalist ‘features meeting’ where we discuss ideas to pitch live.
So it’s the final day of the journalling challenge.
I've taken part in the challenge and have written in my journal without fail every day. It’s been an illuminating month.
What have you learned from your journalling this month?
What is working for you the most in your life?
What is one tiny thing you can do differently every day in August to point your life in the direction you want to go?
Here’s that offer again:
If you’d like to join my Heart Leap Universe, I’d like to offer anyone who would like to become a paid subscriber 50 PER CENT off in the next 24 hours.
