"Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try." Homer Simpson
Just a quick question today - what’s the funniest (ha ha) thing that happened to you in 2024? And why did it make you laugh?
P.S I wrote a big piece for The Telegraph this year on why laughter is good for your health. I got to speak to some eminent experts on laughter and they recommended we watch this video
Watch cricket commentators Brian Johnston and Jonathan Agnew get uncontrollable giggles on live radio, while reporting on a test match between England and the West Indies.
Pahaha that made me cry with laughter! 🤣
One of the cutest, funniest things that made me cry laughing this year was looking after two kittens. One of them had the zoomies, racing up and down curtains, leaping across sofas and chairs, tumbling over the coffee table and taking a bowl of pine cones with her, before landing on my chest as I lay on the sofa. She looked so surprised to see me there that she didn’t know what to do with herself so she bit the end of my nose! It was only gentle and the look of surprise on her little face made me cry laughing 🤣 🤣🤣
Then she leant forward, bouncing up and down as I laughed, and licked the tears off my cheeks 🥹
So so sweet!
I need more of this belly ache laughter in 2025!
