“Your problem is how you are going to spend this one odd and precious life you have been issued. Whether you’re going to spend it trying to look good and creating the illusion that you have power over people and circumstances, or whether you are going to taste it, enjoy it and find out the truth about who you are.” Anne Lamott
How are you going to taste your life and enjoy it? What might that mean for you?
(That’s your journalling prompt for day 4 of your 31 day challenge. In your journal, explore answers to question above)
P.S I run the Heart Leap Writing Hour for paid subscribers and for those wanting some accountability and company as they write their Substack, books and projects. It’s Tuesday and Thursday at 9am. Join us here today.
I've built some good early morning habits over the last 18 months that include journalling, exercise and spiritual reflection and a coffee. I questioned myself this morning as to whether that was my way to 'control circumstances' or a genuine well lived life. It was good to review that. I haven't built a straight jacket. If as this a.m. I woke a little later and that time block was squeezed it still happened. Bonus journal prompt considered over breakfast in our 3G household, providing example for small person!
This is something I’ve been lovingly exploring recently. Letting go of the outer standards of success. And reconnecting with who I am and what lights me up. An ongoing journey of a lifetime! Thank you for this and all of your soulful messages ✨💖✨💖
