Three tiny celebrations
Next question on your mid-year review. (And don't forget it's the Heart Leap writing hour at 9am. )
“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” Oprah Winfrey
Sometimes life’s big wins feel frustratingly far off. But what if it doesn’t have to be huge to be worthy of a woohoo. Tiny wins count. Micro-moments matter. And small, quiet victories? They’re often the foundations of bigger shifts.
Maybe you got out of bed when it felt hard. Sent the email you’d been avoiding. Drank water instead of inhaling a third flat white. Perhaps you remembered to breathe when everything in you wanted to shout.
Celebration isn’t just for weddings, book deals, and sabbaticals in Bali. It’s for surviving Monday. It’s for choosing kindness. It’s for showing up - especially when no one’s watching.
Today, I invite you to honour the things that did go right, however small. Acknowledge them. Thank yourself. Light a metaphorical sparkler.
Journal prompt:
What three things can I celebrate today — even if they’re tiny?
Heart Leap is about tools, ideas, and people who help us make a leap in thinking so we feel inspired and uplifted rather than trapped, stuck, and downhearted.
Heart Leap is for writers who want to write and get their words out into the world but who find writing a hard slog but don’t want to give up the dream. Think of Heart Leap as your very own cosy writing nook, which gives support and accountability .
I run two writing hours a week at 9am (BST) on a Tuesday and Thursday and a ‘writing rehab’ on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm (BST) where we discuss ways to boost our creativity, set ourselves delightful artist’s dates and realistic writing goals while drinking tea.
Heart Leap is for people starting again, literally or metaphorically.
