The Peaceful Leader: Quiet Power, Loud Impact
Almost a year ago...Jen Thomas, one of our Heart Leap tribe won a year's coaching with me. This week she has launched her new programme and she's written an inspiring article on peaceful leadership.
On Saturday, I posted Maya Angelou’s And Still I Rise for International Women’s Day—a rallying cry, a reminder of our inner power. Today I want to post an article by Jen Thomas, who is launching her new coaching programme this week and has written this piece below on The Rise of the Peaceful Leader. Another rallying cry.
These are strange, unsettling times. Our world leaders make choices that feel, at best, baffling, and at worst, inexplicably cruel. More than ever, we need a new kind of leadership—one that isn’t rooted in ego, fear, or power for power’s sake. But let’s be honest: watching the world unfold as it does can leave us feeling powerless, lost, even despairing.
That’s why working with Jen Thomas this past year has been so inspiring. Her perspective on leadership isn’t about control or dominance—it’s about cultivating an inner leadership, one that starts within the psyche and ripples out into our lives, communities, and beyond.
So, what does that look like?
Often embodied by women, the peaceful leader is someone who has mastered the art of listening—not to the noise of the outside world, but to the whispers of her own soul. She moves from a foundation of deep wisdom, acting from a place of peace rather than fear. She trusts her instincts. She speaks her truth. And she does so without guilt, shame, or apology.
This is the leadership we need. This is the leadership we can create.
True leadership isn’t about titles, status, or how many people are listening. It’s about how deeply we are listening to ourselves.
Let’s start there.
Here’s Jen’s piece:
