I’ll be facilitating The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron’s legendary 12-week course, inside the Heart Leap Universe tomorrow. It’s designed to help you rediscover your creativity, quiet that inner critic, and bring more joy and possibility into your life.

That’s from tomorrow at 1pm in a weekly Zoom Call (will send you the link tomorrow)

Still need convincing? Well, some rather impressive people credit The Artist’s Way with changing their lives—Alicia Keys, Pete Townshend, Kelly Lee Owens, Patricia Cornwell, and even Kerry Washington. Reese Witherspoon is a fan. And as for Elizabeth Gilbert? Without The Artist’s Way, she says there would have been no Eat, Pray, Love.

Why I Run This Every Year

I’ve tried doing this course on my own, but—spoiler alert—without a group, I always fall off the wagon. It’s like a gym for your creativity: much easier (and way more fun) with accountability. Each time I do it, I discover a new insight, let go of an old belief, or uncover a dream I’d forgotten about. It’s deep, sometimes messy, but always transformative.

And here’s the thing—this isn’t just for artists. It’s for anyone who feels stuck, restless, or just wants to shake things up a bit.

How It Works

Julia Cameron’s method is simple but wildly effective. The two daily practices at the heart of the course? Absolute game-changers.

  • Morning Pages – A freewriting exercise where you jot down whatever’s in your head first thing in the morning. No editing, no overthinking—just getting the mental clutter out. Think of it as a brain detox, but without the green juice.

  • Artist Dates – A solo adventure just for you. A wander around a bookshop, a visit to a gallery, trying a new café—anything that feels fun and sparks curiosity.

How to Get Ready

Before we start, here are a couple of things to warm up:

  • Find a journal (or a scruffy notebook—whatever works) and start writing a few lines each morning. What’s on your mind? What do you want more of in your life? What’s been feeling a little stale?

  • Plan some Artist Dates. If your inner child could pick a fun day out, where would they go?

This isn’t about instant transformation. It’s about planting creative seeds and watching them bloom in spring.

I’ll be hosting weekly calls EVERY WEDNESDAY from March 19th at 1pm for all my paid subscribers. So grab a copy of The Artist’s Way and let’s get started!

In the meantime, here’s a great interview with Julia Cameron to get you in the mood:
