My 25 for 2025 list
Day 25 of Fire Up Your February Challenge. Don't miss masterclass at 1pm today with top coach Juliet Thomas. Plus writing hour at 9am.
It’s the last week of our Fire Up Your February challenge and I’m excited to host the "25 for 2025" masterclass—brought to you by top coach Juliet Thomas, who will be joining us at Heart Leap HQ for our monthly workshop today (February 25th) at 1pm.
This online workshop invites you to create a list of 25 meaningful mini-goals, experiences, or intentions that cover every facet of your life: mind, body, heart, and soul. Here’s Juliet’s post about it in her brilliant Substack Under The Trees.
Your homework yesterday was to start your list of wonderful things to do, be and create in 2025….
I’ve started (swot!) Here’s the first seven on my list…..
To read one poem a day. (I am going to see Lemn Sissay in Edinburgh next week and I’m so inspired by his morning poems in his new book Let The Light Pour In)
To write one poem a week - however badly.
To go on one ‘artist’s date’ a week - to seek out new creative adventures and plan it in to my diary.
To create 25 new easy dishes to cook. (Historically I’ve been a terrible, terrible cook (not interested, not patient enough, too disorganised…..) but would love to learn some basic dishes…..could I cram a few people into my tiny house for a quarterly supper club?
Read one classic novel a month. In March, I’m going to reread 1984 by George Orwell.
To visit one local place of historical interest per month in Alnwick and learn everything I can about it and then write something - be it fictional short story or an article or a poem. I am going to learn everything I can about Bondgate Tower, a few metres from my cottage. I have already discovered my cottage is between the medieval jail and the Victorian poor house!
To bedrot one day a month - do nothing, stay in bed, switch the phone off, see no one.
Bring the beginnings of your list to the masterclass today….at 1pm
Here’s the Zoom link - and underneath that the zoom link for the writing hour.
If you want to get your 2025 to a great start, consider coming to Alnwick Story Fest - which is happening this weekend, in the wilds of Northumberland - where authors, poets, artists and musicians will be coming together to celebrate stories, love, community.
