It’s my second year of the Alnwick Story Fest.

We have brilliant crime writers, authors, songwriters, film makers, journalists, Substackers, musicians, artists, podcasters, BBC Radio 4 (recording a book club with Ann Cleeves), real-life vampires, and a bear hunt.

Plus David Almond, who wrote Skellig, my favourite children’s book of all time.

It is safe to say that I am beyond myself with excitement.

For all my heart-leaping tribe members who might be coming up to Northumberland for the festival, I’m running a free Heart Leap Fringe event in the Northern Angels shop with big slabs of cake.

We will be discussing how to build a happy, simple, and creative life.
