“You are the author of your own life story.” Susan Young
If 2024 were a book, what would the title be?
"Plot Twist: I’m Still Standing."
It was the kind of year where life threw curveballs like a dodgy cricket bowler. Chapters included “Why Is Everything So Expensive?”, “Decluttering My Emotional Baggage (and Actual Attic)”, and a gripping finale titled “Turns Out, I’m Resilient AF.”
The Next Chapter: 2025 – "Things I Didn’t See Coming (But Let’s Roll With It)"
"The first day of 2025 began with me promising not to take myself too seriously. The gym membership sat smugly in my inbox, knowing full well it’d gather digital dust by February. My ‘intentional’ living plan had one simple rule: say no to what drains me and yes to coffee, good company, and questionable dance moves. This chapter would involve more laughs, fewer breakdowns in supermarket aisles, and actually finishing a project without blaming Mercury in retrograde. A new year, a new plot—filled with unexpected joy, a little chaos, and me, rewriting the rules as I go."
Exercise:
Reflect on your "book of 2024"—how many pages would be dedicated to overthinking? Now grab your pen and start writing 2025 as a comedy-drama where you’re the hero. And if it doesn’t quite go to plan? Well, plot twists make for a better story anyway.
Oh how lovely, I'm bringing this with me in my year reflection next week!
“2024… what a shitshow”
“2025… here comes life”
