'I don't care'
What if we really didn't care about the results but only focused on the process? Come and try that theory on for size at the Heart Leap writing hour at 9am.
“Creativity itself doesn’t care at all about results—the only thing it craves is the process." — Elizabeth Gilbert
Journal Prompt: Results vs. Process
Reflect on a goal or project you’re currently pursuing. Take a few moments to consider:
What is the desired result? What would achieving this goal look and feel like? How do you imagine it changing things for you?
What do you value in the process? Write about the small steps, daily efforts, or the creative flow that comes from working toward this goal. What has the process taught you so far, and how does it impact your personal growth or joy?
How would it feel to release attachment to the outcome and focus fully on the journey? Imagine pouring your energy into each step, trusting that growth and insight will come in ways you might not yet foresee.
Finally, consider any ways you could make the process itself more fulfilling. Could you build in small rewards, create more inspiring environments, or celebrate tiny wins along the way?
The Heart Leap writing hour starts at 9am where we writers get to hang out on Zoom for an hour and happily write for 60 minutes, with some cheery words, tips, support, and a virtual coffee so we can finally finish our books.
