How to Get Your Life Together Before Spring Actually Arrives
Day 28 of the Fire Up Your February Challenge
Congratulations, you’ve survived February—it’s the last day the month that feels like one long Monday. But now, March is knocking on the door, ready to shake things up.
Spring is almost here (unless you live somewhere that believes in a surprise March blizzard), and with it comes the urge to clear out cobwebs—both literal and metaphorical.
So, before we get completely distracted by longer days and the sudden pressure to “get outside more,” let’s take a moment to set some intentions. What do you actually want from March? More creativity? A new habit that doesn’t involve doom-scrolling? A personal renaissance where you finally take up pottery? (Or at least stop putting off that one creative project that’s been staring at you.)
Use these questions to get clear on what you’re stepping into this month. Think of them as a personal pep talk—a vision board without the magazine clippings. You don’t have to overhaul your entire life, just nudge it in the direction you actually want it to go. Let’s make March a good one.
If March had a theme or guiding word for you, what would it be?
What is one key habit or mindset shift you want to focus on next month?
What creative project or personal goal do you want to move forward in March?
What’s one thing you’d love to experience, learn, or try for the first time?
How do you want to feel at the end of March, and what will help you cultivate that feeling?
What’s one way you can invite more joy, fun, or playfulness into your daily life?
What would “success” look like for you in March—big or small?
What’s a self-care practice you can commit to that will keep your energy and creativity flowing?
What is one limiting belief or self-doubt you’re ready to release as we move into spring?
How can you take inspired action toward your long-term vision while also staying present and enjoying the journey?
When you asked "What do you actually want from March?" My immediate gut response was, "I just want everything to stop, so I can catch up" 🥴🤔
My March includes a daily Slice of Life blogging challenge. Joining it for the fifteenth year. My intention is to approach the daily writing with ease and playfulness. Showing up daily can be considered success. Showing self-compassion when the blog posts aren't what I imagined is also success.
