“I love sunrises. They always signify something new and something beautiful. The darkness fading away.” Michelle N. Onuorah
Starting today, it’s 21 days to the end of the month so I’ll be sending out one sentence each morning—a short journalling prompt you can respond to however you like. Jot it down in the Notes app on your phone, scribble in a notebook, or just take 60 seconds to reflect. The aim is to create a small pause in the middle of the year. A chance to ask yourself:
Am I heading in the direction I want to go?
What do I need to leave behind?
What do I want more of?
Day 1:
What did I think I wanted in January that feels completely irrelevant now?
That’s it. One question. One pause. Let’s see what comes up.
We’re at the end of The Artist’s Way and this is a great way for us to pan out a little bit further and figure out what’s what. It’s been 12 weeks that began back in April and somehow took us through spring and into early summer. A lot has happened. Things have shifted, started, ended, and taken shape in new ways.
One of the biggest benefits I’ve found, both through coaching and this course, is the ability to pause and take a proper look at life. What’s working? What’s not? What am I dragging around that I don’t need anymore? That’s why The Artist’s Way has always felt so powerful to me. Morning pages - aka brain dumps - let me see what’s underneath the surface. What I keep circling back to. What’s bothering me more than I realise.
So let’s ease our way into mid-summer with some gentle questioning.
