It’s the first December. How did that happen?
11 months, 334 days, 8016 hours have been lived this year.
And what have we done with it?
Here in the Heart Leap Universe, 2024 has been quite full on.
Personally, I've had quite a few highs, lows, and “what on Earth am I doing?” moments. I’m in the process of transforming my memoir into a novel (thanks to encouraging-yet-humbling feedback that basically said, “This is great—now rewrite it”), started building my Substack and freelance universe, and after my big breakup, I finally moved from my tiny flat in the rooftops of Alnwick into my equally tiny Harry Potter-style cottage (complete with a secret door). I also found a new boyfriend, who I really, really like. (I was very brave and tried online dating!)
My word for 2024 was ‘foundation'—building a solid base in my life in Alnwick, on the wild Northumberland coast. It’s been a year of hard work, decluttering, growth, more hard work, and maybe a few existential crises—you know, the usual.
In the Heart Leap Universe, we have written all year - in our twice weekly writing hours, written and published books, started substacks, we have completed a decluttering challenge, filled our life tanks and attended masterclasses from top coaches and eminent writing gurus and made new friends in our lovely community.
And as we tiptoe toward the end of 2024, I’d love to spend this last month of the year with you spending a little time to pause, reflect, and celebrate everything we’ve survived, achieved, and learnt.
Which brings me to my idea: a month-long End-of-Year Review. Think of it as the Netflix binge of personal reflection—only slightly more productive and (hopefully) life-changing.
What’s the Plan?
Over the next month, we’ll embark on a journey of gentle self-reflection and big-picture dreaming (spa day for your soul—minus the awkward small talk with strangers in robes.) Together, we’ll take stock of the year, reframe the hideous bits, and figure out how to make 2025 the year we finally stop buying self-help books we never read.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ll be doing:
Scroll your camera roll (Yes, really): Pick the top 10 photos from 2024 that make your heart do a happy little jig. What do they have in common? Who’s in them? Where are you? And most importantly, how can you recreate more of that next year?
Craft your “best moments” collage: Turn those photos into a visual shrine of your most joyful moments. Bonus points for adding glitter or stickers. (Or just make a Pinterest board.)
The 2024 playlist: What songs defined your year? Which ones made you cry, dance, or sing badly in the car? Create a playlist to relive those moments, and maybe pick a theme song for 2025 while you’re at it.
Host your own awards ceremony: Time to hand out some trophies! Best Day, Most Unexpected Joy, Biggest Lesson Learned—and a special trophy for the friends who have supported you and inspired you.
Reframe a low moment: Choose a tough moment from 2024 and rewrite it. What did it teach you? How did you grow? Turn that breakdown into a breakthrough—because if Beyoncé can survive 2016, so can you.
Why Bother?
Because, if you’re anything like my friends in the Heart Leap Universe, 2024 has been A LOT, and we deserve to unpack it properly before we dive headfirst into the choppy waters of January. Reflecting on the year isn’t just about basking in your brilliance (though, obviously, let’s do that as much as we can); it’s about figuring out what worked, what didn’t, and how to carry all the good stuff forward.
It’s also a chance to ask yourself some big questions:
Who and what brought us joy?
What drained our energy faster than a dodgy phone battery?
And what did we spend our currency of 8760 hours on this year?
By the end of this month-long review, you’ll have a clearer idea of what you want your life to look like in 2025—and maybe even a new appreciation for everything you’ve already created.
Ready?
So, every day this month, I am going to send you a journal prompt, a short fun exercise or just an invitation to stop and spend some time reviewing, reflecting, and recharging—because 2025 deserves your very best, and so do you.
Do join me if you can.

Gorgeous, Suzy. It's so tempting to rush ahead to "What's NEXT??!" without giving time to reflect on where we're coming from xo
Yes, love this idea! Thank you Suzy.. can't wait! 👍🥰
